Planning & Zoning

As of July 1, 2026, all Planning & Zoning services for the City of Cherryville are being provided by the County's Planning & Zoning Department and staff.

Residents and property owners seeking assistance with zoning regulations, permits, land development, subdivision questions, or other planning-related services should contact the County Planning & Zoning Department directly.

County staff are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and assist with planning and zoning matters during normal business hours.

All meetings with Gaston County staff must be held virtually as their office is under construction. There are four staff members on standby for virtual meetings. Virtual meetings can be scheduled at: https://calendly.com/gastoncountyplanning

Walk-In Services are limited to plats requiring review officer signatures only.
