Welcome to the City of Cherryville Finance Department. The Finance Department is divided into three divisions. They are the Accounting, Financial Reporting & Treasury Management Division, the Collections Division, and the Customer Services Division.
 

Accounting, Financial Reporting and Treasury Management

This division is responsible for maintaining the accounting and reporting system of the General Ledger accounts, paying financial obligations, providing fiscal management for all City funds, including the City's investments and debt portfolios, preparation of the City's payroll, purchase order tracking and interaction with auditors in preparation of financial statements.
 

Revenue Collections

This division provides for the collection of all funds due to the City including, utility fees, street and water line assessment fees, cemetery sales, parking tickets, privilege licenses, rental fees, customer deposits and any other miscellaneous revenues. These employees also work with the accounting division to help reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger and they maintain customer account records. As part of the revenue collection process - they do all the billing as well.
 

Customer Service

This division provides complete customer service from replacing rollout garbage containers to establishing new services to documenting the customer calls and requests. A work order is created and then followed through to the conclusion which includes following up with the customer if needed. This division also books the Community Building, Little Theater Building and all recreation fields.
