Water & Sewer
The City of Cherryville maintains its own water system served by a 3.5 MGD treatment plant and a 10 MGD reservoir on Indian Creek. A loop line transports water into the city's aboveground storage tanks. The City's finished drinking water has garnered awards in statewide competitions for it wonderful taste and crystal like purity.

The City of Cherryville operates its own wastewater system served by a 2.0 MGD treatment facility.

Electricity
An intricate network of transmission and distribution lines is maintained by the City of Cherryville to provide the City's industrial, commercial, and residential customers with reliable electrical service. Duke Power Company and Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation provide service to some residents on the periphery of Cherryville.

Natural Gas
PSNC Energy provides reliable natural gas service to customers in the City and the surrounding area.

Telephone
Local telephone service is primarily provided by Bell South Corporation. Competing service is also available in the area of local and long distance service.

Cable Television
Cable and digital television service is available through Time Warner Cable. Satellite television service is provided in the area by a number of national and regional providers.
