The Planning & Zoning Department of the City of Cherryville is primarily responsible for land use planning, zoning administration, enforcement of land use regulations, nuisance abatement, and development plan review. We can assist you with the following:
- Zoning code violations
- Zoning text amendments
- Rezoning of property
- Street Addresses (newly assigned or existing)
- Sign permits
- Zoning permits
- Site evaluation permits
- Site plan/landscaping approval
- Variances from the Zoning Ordinance
- Nuisances such as junk cars, weeds and trash
- Community Appearance Code violations
- New Construction and remodeling.
- Subdivision land development site review

Planning & Zoning Board - Meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Cherryville Community Building located at 106 S. Jacob Street. Board of Adjustment - Meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Cherryville Community Building located at 106 S. Jacob Street
